LVEAM – Bagatelles (Le volume etait au maximum)

I had no idea LE VOLUME was still around. I just found out a few weeks ago while posting about this website on Facebook. I had the chance to see these guys live in the mid-2000s and they were just the loudest live act I ever heard. ‘Not exactly your typical pop-punk’ as they said on PPMB. Also self-described as ‘Ramonescore from outer space’, I can only agree with that.

As usual, LVEAM offers a completely different take on pop-punk. After their super poppy album Aquarelle last year and a few collaborations with Andrea Manges, they just came up with a pure ‘bubblepunk’ gem called Bagatelles earlier this week. And I can feel an intense spell of romantic summerlike magic taking place here. And believe it or not, this is apparently their 20th album.

Absolutely no distorted guitars on the whole album once again. Intentionally. Totally unconventional, but totally magical. And totally Ramonescore Club approved!

Their bandcamp page is out of date, but you can take a listen to their new album here:
